Interactive Smartboards and Whiteboards

SMART Boards and Interactive Whiteboards

The first SMART board (developed by SMART technologies) was introduced in 1991 and in the twenty years since, SMART have gone on to become a global leader in the continued development of these interactive technologies.  The use of strong images in education helps to fix memories and the way in which they stimulate the mind has led to them being adopted in education establishments around the world.  In business they can help to create more engaging presentations and because they can display much more than text (did you know they can display videos as well?) the possibilities are almost endless.

The SMART Board interactive whiteboard is an interactive whiteboard that uses touch detection for user input in the same way normal PC input devices, such as a mouse or keyboard, detect inputs such as a left click or a scroll action.  A projector above the board is used to display output from a computer on the interactive whiteboard, which then effectively acts as a large touch screen. Most boards are supplied with four digital pens, which use digital ink and replace traditional whiteboard markers.

Getting all of the pieces in place (computer, cabling, safe installation) requires the sort of expertise we have built up over many years and supporting them to make sure that your users get the very best out of the technology to maximise your return on investment.
